A lovely memory I have of George is on Peter and Lindsay’s wedding day in 2007.  I was only the little sister’s boyfriend at the time but I was given an important task of keeping Grandpa George company while the wedding VIPs kept to their busy schedule.  George and I, just the two of us, took a long walk around the grounds.  I was nervous as I was still in ‘must make a good impression’ mode and as such wanted to make good conversation.  My worries over awkward silences could not have been more misplaced!  We had a most excellent walk.  George was a waterfall of interesting stories, thoughtfully side comments, charming banter and a jovial laugh to boot.  Thank you George for all the wonderful chats, I will miss them.  Richard
